About Sheoletze
Sheoletze (she-oh-LEET-zah) is the Indian name of Hillary Cagey, a member of the Lummi Nation and founder of Sheoletze Media.
Hillary is an Indigenous filmmaker, photographer, and visual storyteller based in Auburn, Washington. Rooted in Coast Salish Culture and trained in cinematic arts from the Institute of American Indian Arts, she brings a distinctly Native perspective to every frame. One that centers community, honors tradition, and reimagines what Indigenous media can look like.
Her work spans event and community photography, documentary filmmaking, and creative communications. Hillary approaches every project with intention, care, and an eye for story beneath the surface.
